UPDATED: Submissions for Holiday Wish Guide & 31 Days of Halloween are now CLOSED.

It’s August as of this writing – the heart of Back-to-School season, but here at Rock Father™ HQ sights are currently set on Halloween and Christmas… or, the “Holiday Season” in general. Truth be told, behind-the-scenes at THE ROCK FATHER™ Magazine, things run months in advance, much like the editorial calendar of print mags. I’ve actually been working on holiday content for months, and now comes the traditional open call for submissions. Opportunities for 31 Days of Halloween, Holiday Wish Guide™ and the Rock Father™ Santa Holiday Giving Program are now available.

Holiday Wish Guide™ is one of the premiere destinations for families looking for news and information on the holiday season’s hottest toys and gifts. With a focus on kids but with suggestions for grownups, too – Holiday Wish Guide™ branches from the “master list” to individual reviews and features for Rock Father-approved gift ideas, each explained in detail with original photos and hands-on opinion. Holiday Wish Guide also hosts giveaways, providing families with chances to win some hot toys throughout the season!

For detailed submission information, please click here or email headquarters@therockfather.com for more info on submission and sponsorship opportunities.

The Rock Father™ Santa Holiday Giving Program was established in 2014 as a hyper-local effort to spread holiday cheer to the children of families that could use a hand right here in the community surrounding Rock Father HQ. Hitting the road in a “sleigh” (a new car) on-loan from an automotive partner for the weekend, The Rock Father hits the road to purchase gifts on Black Friday weekend, making his delivery to the local township offices the following Monday. In addition to items purchased, generous donations from toymakers and retailers are accepted and have helped greatly, with 2015 being the banner year thus far. After a disappointing 2016 in which donations ran dry (read about it here), we’re trying to make 2017 even bigger!

Children & Families assisted by The Rock Father Santa:

  • 2016 – 24 children across 12 families
  • 2015 – 61 children across 24 families
  • 2014 – 37 children across 15 families

THE ROCK FATHER™ Magazine is always looking for quality partners and potential sponsors to help spread the Holiday Cheer. Donations of new, unwrapped toys for kids aged 0-12 are invited, as are cash donations that will be used to purchase toys, with 100% of the items reaching families in-need. Because this is a private endeavor, financials are not available, nor are items purchased tax-exempt. The Rock Father pays sales tax on all items purchased at retail. Please email santa@therockfather.com to discuss opportunities.

31 Days of Halloween is a month-long celebration of my favorite season – Fall. Each day brings news, reviews, features and giveaways with a Fall/Halloween focus, including television, movies, toys, games, books, family activities, music and more. The challenge year after year is finding new things to feature. Do you have something new for Halloween 2017?  Email headquarters@therockfather.com to talk.
