JANET DEVLIN has had a busy year – her UK album, RUNNING WITH SCISSORS making its U.S. debut last February, followed by the Fall release of her holiday EP, DECEMBER DAZE, and now DUVET DAZE – all on NYC’s OK! Good Records. The latter EP is a covers record that finds Devlin taking on Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire,” 10cc’s 1975 hit “I’m Not in Love,” Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” and Duran Duran’s “Ordinary World” (my personal favorite of the bunch). The wildcard on the record is a Gaelic reworking of her own “Whisky Lullabies” as “Suantraí Meisciúil” – a move inspired by Sheeran’s Gaelic version of “Thinking Out Loud.” Stream JANET DEVLIN’s DUVET DAZE via the Bandcamp Player below, and if you dig it as I do – you can buy it direct, or through all the usual digital outlets. It’s also available for streaming on Spotify.
