“Closer” is one of my least favorite NINE INCH NAILS songs. I love some NIN, and I saw ’em live way back in ’94 when they toured with MARILYN MANSON and THE JIM ROSE CIRCUS. That song, though? Never grabbed me. Now, Los Angeles-based STARS IN STEREO have given the song a shot of rock with a new cover that was unleashed this week. Hear it below.

STARS IN STEREO will release their debut album on April 9, though “Closer” is not one of the included tracks.

The track listing for the album is as follows:

STARS IN STEREO have also announced that they will be teaming up with Drowning Pool and Flyleaf for a spring tour which kicks off on February 19th in Atlanta.
