When I did my January column as a member of the NETFLIX #StreamTeam, I mentioned how excited the girls were for the NETFLIX Original, EVER AFTER HIGH: SPRING UNSPRUNG. The latest special to be based upon Mattel’s wildly-successful fashion dolls, SPRING UNSPRUNG is a seasonally-appropriate mini-movie, and one well-worth a watch with the true start of Spring just days ahead. We recently caught-up on all-things EAH with a couple of the new dolls, and a viewing of SPRING UNSPRUNG, all tied-together in a fancy little weekday party here at Rock Father HQ. Springtime is an epic time to start a new chapter at Ever After High, where the teenage sons and daughters of famous fairytales decide whether or not to follow in their parents’ fabled footsteps. My girls had watched the earlier EVER AFTER HIGH episodes on Netflix long before we ever owned any of the dolls, but what I can tell you as someone that sees and reviews A LOT of toys, is that the Spring Unsprung Dolls are really well made. They’re beautifully-crafted, and the detail on their outfits is fantastic. They’re a perfect compliment to the NETFLIX Original… which should see some new episodes released in the months ahead. Rumor has it that there’s a 12-episode arc on the way!
