As a kid who grew up on SUPERMAN as his #1 hero (though eventually, BATMAN took over), I loved Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL. Now, with BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE on the way, we’re about to see SUPERMAN team-up with a new BATMAN, along with WONDER WOMAN and potentially a whole lot of other heroes as the JUSTICE LEAGUE takes shape. With filming taking place in Michigan right now, it’s likely the “spy” pics are coming, and with that, Warner Bros. has released the first image of Henry Cavill as SUPERMAN from the new film. The costume has some tweaks, too – making it a lot closer to the comic books, with little flourishes and details making it different… yet the same. See the photo below, which was provided via Warner Bros. Entertainment. Credit goes out to Clay Enos for the shot (and click for Super high-res)…
Looks a bit like Clark might be visiting Gotham in this shot, doesn’t it?
BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE also stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from MAN OF STEEL, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.
BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.
Set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016, BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.
