I’ve been waiting months for this one – a chance to properly throw a slab of “Lapti Nek” on the turntable and share some words about The Max Rebo Band. Rebo, along with Sy Snootles and Droopy McCool brought solid jams to Jabba’s Palace in RETURN OF THE JEDI, later expanding from a three-piece into a who-knows-how-many piece in the 1997 “Special Edition” release. Not only did they gain members and back-up dancers, but most of Snootles’ vocal stylings got plucked in favor of some alien John Popper called “Joh Yowza.” The 1983 Kenner STAR WARS Sy Snootles and The Rebo Band 3-Pack is today’s entry into Hasbro’s Force Friday Countdown Calendar as we move toward #ForceFriday on September 4th, the day when new toys from J.J. Abrams’ STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS will be available at retailers everywhere!
