When I was a kid, thanks to HBO, I could not get away from RICK MORANIS. And that’s not a bad thing. SCTV re-runs were on constantly, and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (which I should’ve been too young to watch) was viewed more times than I can count. But Moranis was both Louis Tully (“The Keymaster!”) and Lord Dark Helmet, and GHOSTBUSTERS and SPACEBALLS are still viewed regularly here nearly 30 years later. Now, as the time approaches when I can share some of Moranis’ classic works with my own kids, he’s back with something for grownups – a new comedy album called MY MOTHER’S BRISKET & OTHER LOVE SONGS – and The Rock Father and The Syndicate want to get a few readers hooked up with copies of their own.
The Rock Father opinion? A Jewish Album with a couple of great Christmas songs. Seriously. But, my wife said “What are you listening to? It sounds like you’re in your late 50’s.” Mission accomplished, Mr. Moranis.
