With the MARVEL Cinematic Universe being detached from what the folks at 20th Century Fox are doing with the MARVEL properties that they licensed in the pre-Disney era – it’s often difficult to explain to casual audiences that the X-MEN, FANTASTIC 4 and now DEADPOOL operate outside of the THE AVENGERS and S.H.I.E.L.D.-infused realm that MARVEL Studios has created. There’s a difference in tone, and that’s probably to the benefit of DEADPOOL, a “hard-R” action comedy starring Ryan Reynolds as the chimichanga-loving anti-hero. After blowing up San Diego Comic-Con last month, and racking up nearly 7 Million+ views in a day for a trailer for a trailer, tonight Conan O’Brien presented the world with their first genuine look at the upcoming film. Behold the full trailer for 20th Century Fox’s DEADPOOL (in both green and red band flavors)!
