When it comes to classic holiday specials, you can’t get much more “classic” than the old Rankin/Bass specials of the 60s and 70s – ones like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town – tales that are now passed along from generation to generation. Collectively known as the “Original Christmas Classics,” several of these stories are out on Digital HD (iTunes) for the very first time through DreamWorks Classics (Classic Media), along with an Original Christmas Classics Anniversary Edition Blu-ray Collection. Toys are also a holiday tradition here – with a big tote that’s specifically Christmas-themed toys that we bring in from the garage around Thanksgiving each year. There’s a Fisher-Price Little People Christmas Village and figures, stuffed animals like Rudolph and Clarice, and some of my favorites… action figures of Santa, Rudolph and the famous sleigh!
