When it comes to classic holiday specials, you can’t get much more “classic” than the old Rankin/Bass specials of the 60s and 70s – ones like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town – tales that are now passed along from generation to generation. Collectively known as the “Original Christmas Classics,” several of these stories are out on Digital HD (iTunes) for the very first time through DreamWorks Classics (Classic Media), along with an Original Christmas Classics Anniversary Edition Blu-ray Collection. In celebration of the season, DreamWorks Classics and THE ROCK FATHER Magazine are giving you a chance to win the Blu-ray set so that you can share the tradition with your family.

Among our holiday traditions here at Rock Father HQ, we like to bake cookies – and this year, we did a gingerbread man for the first time ever… but not just any gingerbread man! We used the Wilton Giant Gingerbread Pan to make one that’s a foot tall…

Toys are also a holiday tradition here – with a big tote that’s specifically Christmas-themed toys that we bring in from the garage around Thanksgiving each year. There’s a Fisher-Price Little People Christmas Village and figures, stuffed animals like Rudolph and Clarice, and some of my favorites… action figures of Santa, Rudolph and the famous sleigh!
