At its core, Hotel Transylvania has always been about vacationing. In fact, the first film established that with its titular location – a five-stake resort for all manner of monster. But what happens when the proprietor of said resort needs some time for a vacation himself? Well, that’s the story of Sony Pictures Animation‘s Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation. In theaters on Friday the 13th of July, Dracula and the crew hit the seas for a luxury cruise, and from the looks of things, he’s gonna need a vacation when he’s done with his vacation – something that rings true from my own experience as The Rock Father™. Now, to get your family up to speed before the third film in what can now be called “The Hotel Transylvania Trilogy” hits theaters, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment at yours truly have teamed-up for a double-feature movie night with Hotel Transylvania and Hotel Transylvania 2 on DVD. Welcome to Hotel Transylvania, Dracula’s lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up and no humans are allowed. One special weekend, Dracula (Adam Sandler) has invited all his best friends – Frankenstein and his wife, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, the Werewolf family, and more – to celebrate his beloved daughter Mavis’s (Selena Gomez) 118th birthday.
