Confirmed: I need a LEGO Mystery Machine to go along with my LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1. This August, that just may happen as Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, Velma and the Mystery Machine, as well as all the ghosts, goblins and other villains that make SCOOBY-DOO adventures complete come to LEGO form for the very first time in a series of five new building sets. Announced today by The LEGO Group and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, the sets will be accompanied by a 22-minute LEGO SCOOBY-DOO special, and made-for-video movie titles by Warner Bros. Animation that will feature the Mystery Inc. gang animated in LEGO form, much like BATMAN and STAR WARS before them.
Jill is right, the nostalgia factor is a huge part of playtime with my girls.
Updated with photo via USA Today:
The five LEGO sets will include Mummy Museum Mystery, the Haunted Lighthouse and the Mystery Mansion, among others. LEGO SCOOBY-DOO products range from $14.99 to $89.99 (USD) and will be available in toy stores nationwide beginning in August.

While this technically isn’t the first time that Scooby and friends have entered “brick” form, it’s certainly going to be the best. Stay tuned…
