After a television movie and plenty of teasers over the past few months, THE LION GUARD made its official debut on Disney Junior last week, and along with the launch comes a whole new line of merchandise centered around the adventures of Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, and his diverse group of friends as they unite to protect the Pride Lands. While we don’t have any of it here just yet, we did spot some new items at Disney Store today during a visit to the Fashion Outlets of Chicago – and Little Finley found her curiosity piqued. Take a look at some of what Disney Consumer Products is currently rolling out at retail…
The Lion Guard Pride Land Play Set by Just Play Toys: Fans of the new Disney Junior series, The Lion Guard, can help the leader Kion protect the Pride Lands with the new Pride Land Play Set. Little Lion Guards will love exploring all the exciting features and accessories, including an exclusive Kion figure. Kids can test out the boulder launcher to keep adversaries away, use the secret leaf trap door to stop intruders, and capture any unwanted guests with the bone trap! A vine lift helps Kion easily get up to his look out perch to keep an eye on the Pride Land. In his downtime, Kion can play in the fun, working waterfall! Collect the rest of the Lion Guard figures to add to the adventure! In addition to all the figures and playsets by Just Play, they’re also doing an assortment of talking plush, all available at mass retailers (Toys “R” Us, Walmart, Target, etc.)
