As STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS arrived in theaters to record-breaking success right before Christmas last year, the onslaught of merchandise brought forth by countless licensees was hard to keep up with. So much great stuff, and just not enough time to cover it all. Now that Spring is fast-approaching and National Bubble Week is upon us, it’s time to take a look at one of the most unique offerings to arrive in the wake of the STAR WARS rebirth, the R2-D2 BUBBLE MACHINE by Imperial Toy. The bubble-blasting version of one of The Rebel Alliance’s most famous Droids, indeed, this is the Droid you’re looking for when it comes to bubble-blowing fun. Sent for review in our State-of-the-Art Toy Testing Facility* at Rock Father HQ, The Rock Daughters prove that Artoo is worth checking out…

Recommended for ages 3+, the R2-D2 Bubble Machine powers-up with familiar lights and sounds, followed by a 10-second “warm-up” period. Once Artoo makes the signal, you can choose from a straight-forward bubble-blast, or left-to-right or random. While this little Astromech has a ton of personality and moves his head while flashing lights and “speaking” sounds, it’s important to note that he sits stationary on the ground and does not roll around.

Rock Father-approved and highly-recommended for some Spring fun from a galaxy far, far away! Though the MSRP on this is $99.99, sales have brought them toward the $50-$60 range, so be on the lookout.
