Toy Review – CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Marvel Legends 3-Pack

This article is more than 10 years old and may not have been updated since our last site redesign. It may contain outdated information, broken links, or could be missing images and/or attribution.

With MARVEL’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR coming home on Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray, it’s time to take a look at one of the more recent toys to spawn from the film – the MARVEL Legends 3-Pack featuring Captain America, Iron Man and Spider-man. Crafted by Hasbro and sent to us for review by my allies at Entertainment Earth, this set marks the world action figure debut of Tom Holland’s Spider-man, a character that finally entered the MARVEL Cinematic Universe this year, soon to be seen in next summer’s SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING. Take a look at the video below for a hands-on look at this set, right here in the Toy Testing Facility at Rock Father HQ™.

The MARVEL Legends series of 6″ super-articulated action figures continues to be a big hit, and this set is no exception. The figures look great, are quite poseable, and come with accessories such as Cap’s battle-damaged shield, four blast-effects, and alternate heads… Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark, and Steve Rogers  (which doesn’t look much like Chris Evans). The exclusive battle-damaged deco on each looks great, but one point noted by my four-year-old daughter as an irritation is that there’s no alternate head for Peter Parker, which would’ve been fantastic since this is the debut of Tom Holland’s Spider-man.

An early entry into my 2016 Holiday Wish Guide here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine, this set is recommended for Ages 4+, though we all know it’s quite geared toward “big kids” – the collector market.  Get yours now from Entertainment Earth!
