When I posted news about the LEGO Disney Princess line back in January, I had a strong feeling that we’d eventually have some of them here at Rock Father HQ. That feeling became reality upon Addie’s birthday earlier this month, and one of the sets came courtesy of my friend Brian (drummer of POISED AS GIANTS) and his family, who got her RAPUNZEL’S CREATIVITY TOWER (41054). Since we’ve now gone hands-on with a few of the sets, I figured it was prime time to share some thoughts here on THE ROCK FATHER…
Recommended for ages 6-12 (Addie just turned 5), this 299-piece building set brings the artistic elements of TANGLED into brick form, with Rapunzel and Pascal the Chameleon living in a cute, three-level tower filled with play value. Retractable spiral stairs, a fireplace, all of Rapunzel’s art supplies (including paints, a brush and palette, along with a chest to keep them in) and a detailed stove (complete with the frying pan that Flynn Rider is all-too-familiar with) and cookbook make this set a lot of fun, with plenty of opportunity for imaginative play.
As with most any LEGO set, these aren’t for children under 3 due to small parts, and speaking of which… who lost Rapunzel’s paint brush already? No, not the kids – this guy typing! It’s believed to be somewhere in the mulch where I was photographing the finished build.
LEGO Disney Princess Rapunzel’s Creativity Tower is Rock Father-approved, and can be found at LEGO Shop, Amazon, Walmart and Target.
