Just last week, I’d been listening to The Lonely Island here at Rock Father HQ, and it hit me that their breakthrough viral hit, “Lazy Sunday,” was already 12 years old. As I tend to do on occasion, I followed The Lonely Island down the rabbit hole and re-watched their classic SNL Digital Shorts, followed by binging on the three full-length albums that preceded last year’s soundtrack to Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. Today, for no apparent reason (aside from it being awesome), The Lonely Island’s YouTube Channel sprang to life for the first time in five months, posting a live performance of “Lazy Sunday” from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, one that originally aired on March 8, 2010. Check it out below!
