Harmonix hit The Rock Father with news that tracks from Foster the People and The Strokes are headed to the Rock Band™ Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii. These new additions are compatible with Rock Band 3, and the forthcoming Rock Band Blitz. Details below…

Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii

Foster the People makes their debut in Rock Band this month with two singles: “Helena Beat,” the opening track from the group’s debut album, Torches, and “Don’t Stop (Color on the Walls),” also from the group’s first studio effort. Foster the People’s popular single, “Pumped Up Kicks,” will be available in the upcoming Rock Band Blitz, available this summer for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation®Network!

Additionally, The Strokes’ “Under Cover of Darkness,” from the group’s fourth studio album, Angles, will also be available. An optional Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrade will be available for the track, which was named one of the “150 Best Tracks of the Past 15 Years” by British music magazine NME.

Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation®3 system (July 24th, 2012):

(These tracks will be available in Europe on PlayStation®3 system July 25th)

Tracks marked with “O” feature support for keyboards; tracks marked with “X” will offer Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $0.99 per song.
