So, earlier this weekend, I’m cruising the Brown Bag Films website prior to posting about the YouTube release of their I’M AN ANIMAL series, when I come across this blog entry from March 24. Yes, the legendary Ron Swanson of NBC’s PARKS AND RECREATION throwing down some wisdom about DOC McSTUFFINS. While I don’t get to see PARKS & REC very often, I do know that Swanson (played by Nick Offerman) is perhaps the finest live-action character currently appearing on television. I also know that my house has been completely overtaken by little Dottie McStuffins, and friends – but I’m totally cool with it.

So here’s some additional trivia for you: On PARKS AND RECREATION, Adam Scott’s character has been known to rock a LETTERS TO CLEO t-shirt from time-to-time. That band will be featured as part of the “Unity Concert” on the one-hour, season six finale of the series on April 24th, along with First Lady MICHELLE OBAMA, GINUWINE (yeah, I still rock “Pony” on occasion), YO LA TENGO, and the DECEMBERISTS, along with WILCO’s Jeff Tweedy fronting a fictional band. LETTERS TO CLEO’s Kay Hanley should be known to many parents these days, as she’s one of the women responsible for the music of a little show on Disney Junior called… DOC McSTUFFINS.

When I informed Addie of this ROCK connection to one of her favorite shows back in October, my oldest little one started getting into it… even jamming “Here and Now” a bit…
