Taylor Guitars is digging deeper — literally.
The company rolls out three new Grand Concert models in its Gold Label Collection, including a collaborative build with Ben Harper that leans hard into feel, tone, and touch. The drop also includes the Gold Label 512e and 712e, expanding the line’s push toward warmer, heritage-inspired acoustic voices.
At the core sits a redesigned Grand Concert body. A deeper build boosts air movement and low-end presence while keeping the compact feel that players expect. The result lands with more punch and a fuller voice without sacrificing control.
“I wanted to feature the classic Grand Concert shape in its full, non-cutaway form and give it a warmer, more blended voice,” says Andy Powers.
The headline piece centers on Harper’s signature model. Built around a fingerstyle approach, the guitar pairs mahogany back and sides with a torrefied Sitka spruce top and Honduran rosewood details, delivering a responsive, touch-driven experience.
“If I could dream up a way to collaborate with a guitar maker, this would be it,” Harper says.
All models feature Taylor’s Fanned V-Class bracing and Action Control Neck, combining classic tone with modern playability.
Available now, the new Gold Label Grand Concert lineup starts at $2,799 — with Harper’s Special Edition landing at $2,999.
