If you’re like me, there’s a solid chance that you’ve been raising your little ones right – peppering their modern-day pop culture with a sprinkling of retro-cool goodness. A quick glance at The Rock Father homepage will usually reveal at least one 2013 representation of something from my own childhood. How many times have I mentioned KNIGHT RIDER on this site? The show has been mentioned in at least 13 articles so far (14 counting this one), and my 3½-year-old loves it. Now comes a pair of toys that every child of the 80s who is now a parent themselves needs to own (for their kids, of course).
At long last, after being teased for a year, Entertainment Earth has their Exclusive Edition of K.I.T.T. from KNIGHT RIDER. Made by Diamond Select Toys, this edition comes complete with a Michael Knight action figure that you can only get here. I had to show major restraint when I ran across this car at Toys “R” Us – a version that comes devoid of a driver. I knew that if I’d bought it then, my daughter would be asking why there’s not a Michael Knight with it. Even kids know that they need David Hasselhoff.
