It’s feels a little weird posting this – the first news out of The Step2 Company to arrive here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine after my gig as a Step2 Brand Ambassador crossed the finish line at the end of a fantastic three-year run. While I’m no longer on the payroll, I’ll still be sharing updates like this one – something right up my alley, and a product that I saw first-hand during my last visit to Step2 HQ in Streetsboro, Ohio last year: The Step2® Z06 Chevrolet Corvette Toddler-to-Twin Bed. Kicking off 2016 in style, the realistic looking bed will have children racing to sleep with a sleek design that even parents can enjoy, bringing a world-class American Supercar into kids’ bedrooms.
The second version of the Corvette bed to come from Step2 features the new C7 Corvette Z06 body style. True to its real-life, world-class counterpart, the race car bed is engineered with a lightweight yet durable frame for a longer-lasting product that can be used for years to come. The Z06 accommodates a toddler (crib) mattress that can then be converted to accommodate a twin mattress, making the transition to a larger bed a fun experience for toddlers. Sharp-looking headlights tap on and off to serve as a night light, and a built-in race track helps encourage toddlers to make their way to bed.
Both Step2 and General Motors Co. place pride in the ingenuity, quality and value of their American-made products, creating a perfect alignment for a partnership between the two Midwest-headquartered companies. Step2 previously worked with GM to launch a bedroom combo collection that included a Corvette dresser, organizer and bed, and will now be adding the Z06 bed to the line.
The Step2 Z06 Corvette Toddler-to-Twin bed will be available exclusively at Toys R Us in February 2016 with an MSRP of $329.99. Step2 will also be featuring the bed at the 2016 New York International Auto Show from March 25-April 3.
As some of you may recall, we worked with Step2 to create “The Rock Daughter” Edition Hot Wheels Toddler-to-Twin Race Car Bed for this past Holiday Season. Only two were created – one that’s here at Rock Father HQ, the other delivered to a giveaway winner in Tennessee. See the original unveiling here, and look for a follow-up post very soon!
