When I last checked-in with an update about using my new Brother P-Touch PT-H100 Label Maker to get Rock Father HQ organized for the holidays and beyond, I tackled the pantry, and left things hanging with a promise to delve into the girls’ craft cabinet. I wasn’t kidding when I said that it needed an overhaul (something that I’ve done repeatedly), and with the cold, snowy weather forcing us to spend more time inside in these days prior to Christmas, we’ve been doing a lot more crafty stuff. And, adding to the cabinet regularly, it’s been a real mess. Not anymore.
Addie and I spent an afternoon weeding out and streamlining. Did we really need 400 (probably an exaggeration) crappy restaurant crayons that we’ve accumulated over the past four years? Probably not. All those coloring books with 62 of 64 pages already vibrantly splashed? No. Those pieces of paper that had become akin to the works of Jackson Pollock? I saved a few. But we went from that mess pictured at the top of this article to this:
Again, tt’s incredible just how much a difference can be made just by simply having the labels in-place. But the biggest project is yet to come…
My garage is a disaster. And that’s where the Christmas decorations are stored… in totes that need a major streamlining when the decor comes down. And so does everything else in the garage. Stay tuned for my final installment of the organizational adventure, coming to The Rock Father in January!
