From the moment that Amazon Studios first announced Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan as a new original series, fans were presented with some exciting new possibilities for the character. Previously portrayed in film by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Chris Pine, when John Krasinski was revealed to be taking on the role, many (myself included) had a very specific vision for what such a show could be. Now, as Jack Ryan debuts on Amazon, the crew at Funny Or Die have delivered exactly the vision that we all really want and deserve. Get ready for Tom Clancy’s Jim Ryan!
I’d say that I’m sorry for Krasinski in that it’s hard to be forever thought of by his character (Jim Halpert) on The Office… but I’m not. Even with the news that A Quiet Place 2 is in the works, I still see it as Jim vs. Aliens.
