If you look at all the “Hot Toy Lists” that are popping up for 2016 (including my own Holiday Wish Guide), you’re no doubt seeing that there’s a few items that are across-the-board hits with a lot of play experts. The right toys can help make the holidays magical, and among the companies that know a lot about holiday magic is Hasbro. The folks behind icons like Transformers, My Little Pony, G.I. Joe and Glo-Worm have been making magic for years, and to power that magic, the team at Duracell is always ready, supplying batteries like the ones included with the FurReal Friends Bootsie. One of the hottest toys of 2016 is no doubt the FurReal Friends Torch, My Blazin’ Dragon, and the place you can get him (along with the batteries) is Toys “R” Us! Check out Torch & Bootsie in-action in the video below…
My first hands-on look at these toys took place over the summer when I attended the Sweet Suite portion of Blogger Bash in New York City – and while I was pretty-much hooked at that point, seeing Torch again at The Toy Insider’s HoliDAY of Play really locked it in as a featured pick for this year. Now, having Torch (and Bootsie) here at Rock Father HQ, I’ve seen the joy that they’ve brought to The Rock Daughters (and their friends), fast-becoming some of this Fall’s most-recommended toys.
Torch features more than 50+ lights/sounds combinations, responding to touch. Filled with water via a special “crystal,” Torch uses LED light to achieve a flame-like took to the mist that it “breathes” – pulling-off a very lifelike special effect, accented by lifelike movement, blinking eyes, and adorable sounds. Place the special color-change treat (a marshmallow on a stick) in front of Torch, and watch it “roast.”
Likewise, Bootsie acts much like a real cat (sans litter box, which is appreciated), purring and cuddling, bowing down and getting angry if you mess with her mouth too much. You can also feed her a “sushi” treat.
Check out the Toys“R”Us circular found in most Sunday newspapers for great offers the week of 11/6 – 11/12, which includes: buy 1 pack of Duracell batteries, get the 2nd 40% off, and Torch, My Blazin’ Dragon on-sale for just $59.99 (reg $79.99)!
When you head out to Toys “R” Us to shop for this season’s hottest holiday toy’s, don’t forget the batteries! Make sure to stock-up on all the popular sizes (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V) so that whatever the gift, there will be power ready to rock!
