Toy Review: Bunch O Balloons Self-Tying Water Balloons

Published:

This article is more than 7 years old and may not have been updated since our last site redesign. It may contain outdated information or could be missing images.

You may have seen me post about Zuru Toys’ Bunch O Balloons earlier this year – most likely on my social networks, or when I co-hosted a twitter party for them with The Toy Insider. Realizing I hadn’t given them a proper feature here on the site from my hands-on experience, it’s time to throw down a few words about the water balloons that have been famously touted for the ability to “fill and tie 100 balloons in 60 seconds.” Quite simply: they absolutely work.

In general, I’m not a big fan of balloons (just ask my kids), but I do dig water balloons, and I especially dig toys that work as-advertised. Zuru’s Bunch O Balloons are so simple and easy-to-use, I’ll never go back to filling water balloons the old-fashioned way. You simply attach a quick-connect adapter to your garden hose, and then connect it to a pack of balloons.

It’s best to do this over something smooth and protective – like a trash can or laundry basket. I made the mistake of filling these right over the sidewalk (didn’t think much of it) and a few from the first batch rolled off and popped when they hit the grass.

With standard colors available, or new licensed packs featuring characters such as the Minions from Despicable Me 3, kids will have a blast when they take to the yard for some old-school water fun with a new-school twist.
