On the first-ever episode of Disney Infinity NEXT, the makers of Disney Infinity 3.0 made a promise that the lifecycle of the 3.0 Starter Packs would be extended, and that there will be more content than ever coming to Disney Infinity this year. Just-announced is the MARVEL Battlegrounds Play Set (out March 15), which brings the brawling genre into Disney Infinity for the very first time. All that and more can be seen in the Spring 2016 edition of Disney Infinity NEXT…

New figures include a CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR version of Cap… ANT-MAN, VISION and BLACK PANTHER.

Additionally, a new Marvel Battlegrounds-themed Power Disc Pack will be sold separately and contains:

Cosmic Cube Blast – Unleash a powerful energy blast on nearby foes
Darkhawk’s Blast – Blast obstacles with a powerful energy beam
Nova Corps Strike – Call upon the Nova Corps to unleash a tactical strike from above
Ghost Rider’s Motorcycle – Take a ride on the wild side with Ghost Rider’s flaming motorcycle

In addition to the MARVEL Battlegrounds Play Set, new characters from ZOOTOPIA, THE JUNGLE BOOK, ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS and FINDING DORY will make appearances in the game this year, as new play sets from the four core Disney Brands have been promised – Disney, PIXAR, MARVEL and STAR WARS.
