The road to get here was an unusual one – perhaps as bumpy as a trip through an asteroid field while chased by Imperial TIE Fighters – but May 25th will mark the release of Lucasfilm’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, and I’m excited. I think I’m actually more pumped for this one than I was for Rogue One, and I loved that film. What’s at play here is the vibe, and the vibe is fun. A large bringer of fun, Lando Calrissian. SOLO stars Alden Ehrenreich as a younger version of the character originated by Harrison Ford, with Donald Glover stepping in for Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian. Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton and Emilia Clarke also star.
