It doesn’t seem like it’s been three years since Marvel brought Ant-Man to the big screen, but is has been. 2015 was a banner year for me personally, and part of that was being invited to interview the cast and crew of Ant-Man in Los Angeles. Fast-forward a few years and Ant-Man has shown up in Captain America: Civil War, will soon appear in Avengers: Infinity War, and come July it’s time for a team-up as Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly suit-up for Marvel Studios’ ANT-MAN AND THE WASP! At the premiere of Black Panther in Los Angeles, it was teased that the masses would soon see the first trailer for the next Marvel adventure, and this morning that was a promise delivered. Here’s your first-look at ANT-MAN AND THE WASP!
From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: “Ant-Man and The Wasp.” In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
“Ant-Man and the Wasp” is directed by Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, Walter Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “T.I.” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Hannah John Kamen, Abby Ryder-Fortson, Randall Park, with Michelle Pfeiffer, with Lawrence Fishburne, and Michael Douglas.
Kevin Feige is producing with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Stephen Broussard, Charles Newirth and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, Paul Rudd, Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari wrote the screenplay.
“Ant-Man and the Wasp” hits U.S. theatres on July 6, 2018.
