I don’t think I’ll ever be able to stop writing about FROZEN here on THE ROCK FATHER. In fact, it’s almost unbelievable that the movie only hit theaters nine months ago. That said, Idina Menzel’s now iconic rendition of “Let It Go” continues to inspire, with over six million (I made that number up) cover versions currently posted to YouTube. Now, I’ve noted on several occasions that my favorite comes from THE LAST SLEEPLESS CITY, who rocked it up Pop Punk style a few months back (hear it here), and that hasn’t changed – but I guarantee you haven’t heard “Let It Go” like I’m about to share. From Sumerian Records comes BETRAYING THE MARTYRS’ metallic take on the song. It’s harsh – not kid-friendly, and might turn some of you off, but I dig what they did with the chorus around the 1:01 mark. The dueling clean/harsh vocals are interesting, indeed. Check out the new video below, and if you dig the song, download it on Amazon or iTunes.

And because it’s cute, my little ones rockin’ out to “Let It Go” over the weekend…

The cold never bothered me anyway.
