Mickey Mouse is timeless, and as the iconic mouse prepares to celebrate his 90th birthday this November, a fantastic array of new products and collectibles keep rolling out. Funko has been rolling out a ton of items created in collaboration with the team at Disney Consumer Products, and one of the latest reveals is an exclusive with my friends at GameStop (affiliate). The Gamer Mickey Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure will hit stores on October 13th, presenting the main mouse in a familiar form for anyone who's ever spent some time playing console games online. With his backward baseball cap, gaming headset and controller in-hand, he's ready to rock! So what would Mickey be playing... Kingdom Hearts, perhaps?

It was nearly three years ago that I'd first met up with Director Rich Moore and Producer Clark Spencer on the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California. It was then, on a detour from working the Global Media Event for Star Wars: The Force Awakens that I had a chance to join them (along with Director Byron Howard) to take an early look at what was shaping up to be the 55th feature film from Walt Disney Animation Studios - Zootopia. Fast-forward to July 2018 and I was back in a screening room on the Disney lot, but this time it was with Moore, Spencer and Director/Writer Phil Johnston for a sneak-preview of work-in-progress footage from the 57th Disney Animation feature, Ralph Breaks the Internet. Set for release on November 21, 2018, the crew was working feverishly as they entered the home stretch and as always, the collaborative efforts of team was showing as they continue to shape these films until they finally have to escape.

It's time to take things back to a different era... one that holds a particular place of fondness for me: the mid-1990s. For the 21st film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), we're spinning things back to move things forward. As teased at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) realizes that something is very much awry thanks to the impact of Thanos' snap, he pulls out a device to contact Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) aka Captain Marvel. Where she's been all these years is a mystery, but at some point in the 90s she found herself super-powered and in the midst of a war between two alien forces - the Skrulls and the Kree. Along for the ride, a pre-eye patch Nick Fury. It's been said that Danvers is in fact the most powerful hero in the MCU, and on March 8, 2019 we'll get the full story when Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel arrives in theaters, directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. Now, fresh from its debut on ABC's Good Morning America, here's your first-look at the first trailer!

Disney's The Nutcracker and the Four Realms is coming to theaters this November, and thanks to the folks at Funko, some characters from the new version of the classic tale are coming to the famed Pop! Vinyl format. Hitting stores just in time for the 2018 holiday season, the Sugar Plum Fairy and Clara are up for pre-order now via my friends at Entertainment Earth. Check out the latest trailer for The Nutcracker below...

On December 19, a beloved character will return to cinemas as Disney's Mary Poppins Returns hits theaters - just in time for Christmas. Today comes the first full trailer for the film, and if there was ever any doubt to just how much this connects to the 1964 film, this fresh look at what's yet to come should put that to rest. Anyone interested in flying a kite?
