One of this season’s finer culinary delights first hit my radar on twitter: Pop-Tarts’ Limited Edition Frosted Pumpkin Pie. I’m a big fan of Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts, but an even bigger fan of all-things pumpkin. After hunting down a box of these at the local Super Walmart, I can happily report that they’re fantastic.
Here’s what the official product description says: “Getting your yummy on with this pocket of pumpkin perfection is a piece of … pie. It’s frosted and sprinkled, and filled with pumpkin pie-flavored filling, real nutmeg, cinnamon and clove.”
While Pumpkin Pie is a little more “Fall” than “Halloween,” there’s another variety out there that I have yet to locate… one that captures the true flavor of the season by being “Spookylicious.”
“Chocolatey deliciousness all dressed up for Halloween – chocolate crust, fudgy filling, orange icing, and ghost, bat and moon-shaped sprinkles.”
Thus far, finding these has been like hunting a Ghost.
