It’s a bit of a 1980s flashback week for ROCK BAND players as the platform gets ready to add a trio of songs straight from the Reagan era. Fast-approaching the five-year anniversary of the Rock Band Music Store, players will be able to attempt tracks from FLOCK OF SEAGULLS and BILLY SQUIER this Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Harmonix sent the details to The Rock Father yesterday, and you’ll find them below…
Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii™
In 1982, English New Wave band A Flock of Seagulls found worldwide success with their self-titled debut record. “I Ran,” a single from that album, became one of the band’s biggest hits, making its way to the Billboard Hot 100 and charts around the globe!
Rocker Billy Squier had a string of hits during the 80s, as well, two of which will make their way to the Rock Band Music Store next week: “The Stroke,” the debut single from 1981’s Don’t Say No and the opening track from 1982’s Emotions in Motion, “Everybody Wants You,” which held on to the top spot of Billboard’s Hot Mainstream Rock tracks for six weeks straight!
All three tracks will be available as singles on the Rock Band Music Store; a Pro Guitar and Pro Bass Upgrade will be available for “The Stroke.”
Additionally, Rock Band Blitz players who play any of these tracks will earn double coins for each play, as well as double coins for each time they play Billy Squier’s “Christmas Is the Time to Say I Love You,” which was previously released on the Rock Band Music Store!
