When I first posted that “The Greatest Christmas Film of All-Time is Getting a Sequel” back on Valentine’s Day, I made a promise that I’d be “watching this one closely.” What I didn’t know, was exactly how closely I’d be watching it… as-in, from the set of the film. But that’s just what happened, as I found myself stepping off a plane in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada last weekend – nearly 2,200 miles from Rock Father HQ here in Illinois – a guest of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment – to witness the birth of some cinematic holiday cheer, first-hand. JINGLE ALL THE WAY 2 is happening, friends… and while I won’t be going into vast detail about it until the 2014 Holiday Season is a little bit closer, I’m going to give you just a little taste… a sneak-preview of coverage to come.
It all went down fast, but when the Fox Home Entertainment Insiders (I’m actually their “Blogger of the Month” right now) asked if I’d be available to “Jingle All the Way… to Vancouver“ – I had to. Not only is the 1996 film, JINGLE ALL THE WAY, my favorite Holiday film of all-time, it’s also my favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger film of all-time, so accepting this mission was a duty that needed to be fulfilled. However, JINGLE ALL THE WAY 2 is a new story, and features a new cast toplined by Larry the Cable Guy (aka Dan Whitney) and WWE Superstar Santino Marella (aka Anthony Carelli). The film is a joint effort between Fox and WWE Studios, with Director Alex Zamm at the helm.
Beyond that, I don’t really want to start dropping spoilers just yet. After all, what fun is a Christmas present if you’ve already taken an early peek before it’s wrapped?
