The first official follow-up to Disney’s FROZEN arrives in theaters this weekend as FROZEN FEVER plays opener to the live-action CINDERELLA. While kids like my own have been repeatedly tantalized by a 40-second trailer, the 10-minute short film is just an appetizer – FROZEN 2 is officially official. The announcement was made this morning at Disney’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders by Bob Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company; John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios; and actor Josh Gad, who provides the voice of Olaf.
I was really fortunate to have been part of the press group invited by Disney to cover the home release of FROZEN last year, and with the film a fixture of daily life (“Let It Go” is still performed here daily by my girls), I’m looking forward to bringing you more FROZEN 2 news as I have it.
Directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee are back, as is Producer Peter Del Vecho. Stay tuned…
