51O5O-kdUvL. SL160 Taking inspiration from the films of Arnold Schwarzenegger and featuring a cartoon parody of the California Governor named “Ahhhnold” on periodic vocals, playing second-fiddle to AS I LAY DYING’s Tim Lambesis. After releasing TOTAL BRUTAL in 2008 followed by the holiday EP A VERY BRUTAL CHRISTMAS (which I actually gave a friend for Christmas last year), most thought that ADM was a load likely spent.
Not so, as the release of DOUBLE BRUTAL proves. This 2-disc set featuring a full album of original Arnie-inspired jams along with a full disc of covers (all songs from Ahhhnold movies, sadly no YOU COULD BE MINE) makes it clear that they’ll “be back” just like their God was in THE TERMINATOR, THE RUNNING MAN… you know the drill.

While cinephiles and horror enthusiasts alike may find amusement in the album with it’s COMMANDO, TOTAL RECALL, and PREDATOR riffs, at the end of the day ADM is still a novelty – but a good one.

Standouts include: I NEED YOUR CLOTHES, YOUR BOOTS, AND YOUR MOTORCYLE, WHO TOLD YOU YOU COULD EAT MY COOKIES?, T2 THEME and KILLING IS MY BUSINESS & BUSINESS IS GOOD – a Megadeth cover!
