Some tours happen once. This one worked so well, they’re doing it again.

BLUES TRAVELER and GIN BLOSSOMS are reuniting for a second consecutive summer as co-headliners, bringing SPIN DOCTORS back along for a 36-date run that kicks off July 6 in Grand Junction, Colorado, and wraps Sept. 19.

The tour includes stops at some of the nation’s most recognizable venues, including the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and SummerStage in New York City’s Central Park.

For fans who grew up with alternative radio in the ’90s, the lineup reads like a soundtrack to the era. BLUES TRAVELER brings staples including “Run-Around” and “Hook.” GIN BLOSSOMS arrive armed with “Hey Jealousy,” “Follow You Down,” and “Allison Road.” SPIN DOCTORS round out the package with “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong.”

The announcement follows a nationally televised appearance during the American Idol season finale, where members of BLUES TRAVELER and GIN BLOSSOMS joined contestants for performances of “Hey Jealousy” and “Hook,” offering an early glimpse of the chemistry that helped fuel last year’s successful run.

“It’s rare when a package feels so much like home that it carries a spirit which becomes tangible to an audience,” BLUES TRAVELER frontman John Popper says. “That was the case regarding our summer tour last year with SPIN DOCTORS and GIN BLOSSOMS.”

That feeling apparently wasn’t limited to the crowd.

“Same tour 2 summers in a row,” says GIN BLOSSOMS vocalist Robin Wilson. “I’ve never even heard of this happening before. It is a testament to the strength of the lineup. We’re all friends, we’re gonna sell a lot of tickets, and it will be a blast.”

The timing also aligns with several major milestones. BLUES TRAVELER recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of “Run-Around,” GIN BLOSSOMS marks 30 years of Congratulations I’m Sorry, and SPIN DOCTORS continues celebrating the 35th anniversary of Pocket Full of Kryptonite.

“As far as I know, it’s pretty unprecedented for the same tour to go out two summers in a row,” SPIN DOCTORS frontman Chris Barron says. “I’m glad it’s happening because it’s nice to know that while we were having a ball, the audiences were as well.”

Three decades after helping define an era of rock radio, all three bands remain road-tested, crowd-proven, and more than willing to spend another summer proving why these songs still connect.
