You see that headline above? Yes, it’s intentionally meant to look exciting – because it is. My daughter LOVES ‘Chica’ from THE SUNNY SIDE UP SHOW on Sprout, and while this ‘news‘ is technically a month old, it’s new to me, so I’m sharing it here on The Rock Father. THE CHICA SHOW is coming this November.
20 episodes of the 11-minute show will be entering production shortly, and will feature a mix of live-action and animation as Chica play and learn in a small store called “The Costume Coop.” As seen on The Sunny Side Up Show, Chica tends to love playing dress up, and this expands upon the possibilities as she’s joined by familiar friend Kelly, along with her Mom and Dad (both puppets), a real-live rabbit, and some other surprises.
Somehow I missed this announcement back in April, but a refresher post on the Sprout Facebook page today brought it to my attention.
While I’m looking forward to seeing the little one react to the new show, with only 20 episodes, I expect them to be memorized in no time – just like CAILLOU, THE GOODNIGHT SHOW, etc.
