This year, something really cool happened… a door was opened to a world that hadn’t really been explored in a very long time when it comes to pop culture collectibles and fun stuff: The BATMAN Classic TV Series became fair game. I’ve covered a lot of cool 1966 BATMAN items here on THE ROCK FATHER, but this one is up there in the POW! factor – something to be shared and enjoyed between kids and grownups alike. Ahead of the long-awaited Blu-ray and DVD release of the classic series comes a new line of “Feature Creatures” from the folks at Bleacher Creatures, LLC. When my Holiday Gift Guide goes live in mid-October, these will be there – rockin’ 10″ Plush Figures based on the characters of BATMAN ’66: Batman (as played by Adam West), Robin (Burt Ward), Batgirl (Yvonne Craig), Catwoman (Julie Newmar) and of course, The Joker (Cesar Romero). To celebrate the launch, I’m really excited that Bleacher Creatures and THE ROCK FATHER have teamed-up to get one (1) lucky reader hooked-up with the full set (ARV: $100!), while two (2) runners-up will receive a random character from this Rogue’s Gallery of Gotham City’s most famous residents. Recommended for Ages 3+, they’d make a great gift or a fantastic collection of playable toys for the little ones.
We have BATGIRL here at Rock Father HQ, and she’s a big hit with both of my little Batgirl-loving Rock Daughters – but Bleacher Creatures makes more than superheroes. As the name implies, they’re rooted in sports – with licenses including MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL and my friends over at WWE.
