Air Bud Entertainment has bringing forth the anthropomorphic animal action for quite awhile, but now they’re serving-up a new-school throwback to the classic family films of the 80s with RUSSELL MADNESS – a cute movie about a wrestling dog. Don’t believe that a dog can wrestle while rocking out to the sounds of THE SCORPIONS? Have doubts that said dog sounds suspiciously like Adam Goldberg (Sean Giambrone) of ABC’s THE GOLDBERGS? What if I told you that a two-year-old girl named “Coco” grew up to be a man named David Milchard (CONVOS WITH MY 2-YEAR OLD) who appears here as a Dad trying to do right by his family? About the Film: RUSSELL MADNESS tells the story of Russell, an undersized but big-hearted terrier who dreams of having a family of his own. After running away from his pet store, Russell gets taken in by The Ferraros, a family desperate to revive their grandfather’s pro wrestling arena. That’s when they discover their new pet pooch has incredible wrestling skills. With help from his coach, Hunk, a savvy and hilarious monkey, Russell rockets to the top of the pro wrestling world and becomes a famous sports superstar. But when a dishonest promoter double-crosses the Ferraros, Russell will face his biggest challenge and discover that the strongest tag team is family.
