When it comes to making, building, and creating with high-quality craftsmanship, few know the drill more than the big man in red – Santa Claus. If you’ve never had a chance to visit Santa’s workshop in the North Pole, let me tell you that you’re missing out. Sure, you might know Santa and his Elves for all the toys and games that they spend the first 11 months of each year creating, but the work that goes into keeping Santa’s Sleigh running at top-speed is done in Speed Shop that rivals some of the best hot rod builders in the world – and Santa’s ride is a 9 RP (that’s Reindeerpower) force of gift delivering fury! The Elves know that Craftsman Tools power their workshop, and with that in mind you could give a gift that rocks for the budding maker on your list – whether they’re young, old. naughty, nice, nice & naughty, or just getting started. Craftsman has a Holiday Gift Finder that can help you find just what’s right, and as part of The Craftsman Crew, I’m sharing THE ROCK FATHER’s Top Craftsman Gift Picks to highlight some of the best and brightest, alongside some sweet products – not just tools – that I bet you didn’t even know that Craftsman had. Ho! Ho! Ho!
I’m big into the retro apparel, and Craftsman always hits the sweet spot with me since that name has been on tools in every home I’ve ever lived in since birth. There’s a wide assortment clothing available from Craftsman this season, including t-shirts, lounge pants (I call them “sleeping pants”), beanies and more. They’re a great compliment to the function work gear that Craftsman offers year-round.
Yes, I did feature these in my last Craftsman Crew post, and I’m sharing them again – why? Because they rule. In fact, the 40-Piece Extreme GRIP Mechanics Tool Set is a fantastic specimen, and something that many would love to have. The 3/8-Inch drive set includes a family of tools designed to fit both inch and metric fasteners, even when rounded. The sturdy case with rubberized base and handle make it handy in any work environment. Diamond coated tips reduce cam-out slippage on fasteners and allow for removal of stripped screws. The sockets have serrated jaws and provide up to 14x more gripping power on rounded fasteners (compared to Craftsman 43005). Locking cam on box end provides positive gripping that holds multiple fastener sizes in place. The bit driver has true, one-handed operation versus a magnetic tip screwdriver. Magnetic collar gives 143x more gripping power vs. a standard bit driver. Three position ratcheting mechanism provides smooth operation.
These are on my own personal Holiday Wish List. I would love to have the Craftsman Garage Mirror with Hooks in my work area, or the classic Tin Sign, Wall Mounted Bottle Opener, or Entry Mat. There’s even a full assortment of bar accessories (tools, glasses, coasters) – and for the most festive, they’ve got Craftsman Christmas Ornaments. Find them all on the Gift Finder!
I told you that there was something Craftsman for the whole family, including kids. Mattel’s Fisher-Price division is well-known for their Power Wheels vehicles, and this officially-licensed Ford F-150 is rockin’ an exclusive Craftsman graphics package and color scheme, and has a top speed of 3.5mph, powered by a 6-volt rechargeable battery. Recommended for kids ages 3-5, they can be proud to park this in their family’s garage alongside the grownup Craftsman tools that Mom and Dad might use.
