Before the word “Snoop” went hand-in-hand with the D-O Double-G, there was simply Snoopy – a loveable beagle created by Charles M. Schulz way back in 1950. While we knew the first year that the dog hit the scene, it wasn’t until the late 1960s that we knew that Snoopy’s birthday was actually August 10th. While he’d be 65 years old in human years, Snoopy turns 273 today (according to the Dog Years Converter) and he looks absolutely fabulous as we look forward to the release of THE PEANUTS MOVIE from 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios on November 6th. With celebrations taking place around the ‘net, here’s a few of the best…
THE ROCK FATHER as SNOOPY:
Perhaps not the finest drawing ever created, but I’ve never drawn Snoopy before. This sketch is supposed to be a spin on the famous “Joe Cool” version of Snoopy, but if I were Snoopy or Snoopy were I. Can you spot what band the symbol on the shirt represents?

SNOOPY as DEADPOOL (a 20th Century Fox Crossover) by Rob Liefeld:
Comic artist Rob Liefeld makes the ultimate Fox crossover with MARVEL’s DEADPOOL as Snoopy… or is it Snoopy as Deadpool? Only Ryan Reynolds knows for sure, but this drawing is a lot of fun…

WONDERLAND BAKERY’s PEANUTS Cookies:
That’s a whole lotta cookies… but are they for beagles or humans?

How to #DrawSnoopy by THE PEANUTS MOVIE Director Steve Martino:
Here we have the Director of THE PEANUTS MOVIE effortlessly showing audiences how to draw the famous dog in very elegant, smooth strokes. If only I could do it so well!
Now, let’s spin back to those cookies for a minute. Wonderland Bakery made around 25 batches of PEANUTS cookies to send out as care packages to the Peanuts Brand Ambassadors, one of which is yours truly…
Happy Birthday Snoopy!
