On April 15 (physical) and April 22 (digital), Malaysian-American Singer/Songwriter ZEE AVI will release NIGHTLIGHT, a covers album that puts her unique spin on songs made famous by MICHAEL JACKSON, THE MUPPETS, JONI MITCHELL, LOUIS ARMSTRONG and more. The ukulele-wielding musician and visual artist has previously released albums through Jack Johnson’s Brushfire label, and has teamed with Little Monster Records for her first Kindie release. Today, I’ve got a preview of a pair of tracks for you here on THE ROCK FATHER, with Avi’s covers of BOBBY McFERRIN’s “Don’t Worry Be Happy,” and THE VELVET UNDERGROUND’s “Who Loves the Sun.”
