We’re in one of those periods when the 1980’s is making a comeback. There’s a new DIE HARD movie coming out next month, ROBOCOP is headed back to Detroit, and Arnold Schwarzenegger really is “back” at the box office. On the musical front, NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK announced a tour today, DAVID BOWIE has new music out, and “Kids in America” singer KIM WILDE was recently seen performing on a train somewhere. In other news, KNIGHT RIDER and E.T. turned 30 last year, and being there the first time around, I feed a tad dated. But there’s that new generation… the fruit of our loins that we’re raising on a daily basis. As of today, even the LULLABY genre has gone 80’s, with a double-dose of NEW WAVE LULLABIES from the folks at Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star.
With a combined 26-songs covered and transformed into “lush instrumental versions” perfect for your smallest listener (baby, of course), NEW WAVE LULLABIES V. 1 & 2. are pretty rad. Seriously, it’s like having a little John Hughes movie soundtrack in the nursery. Check out the cover art and tracklistings for each below.
