Sara LeeWith Spring here and the cold (mostly) behind us, the little ones have been asking for ice cream again (a “sometimes” treat), and a new spin on an old favorite recently popped-up, courtesy of my friends at Sara Lee, who’ve teamed-up with THE ROCK FATHER to help bring this “sweet treat” to the masses . It’s funny how the simplest of changes can really bring new excitement to an old standard, and this is one of those occasions – toasting Sara Lee Frozen Pound Cake to add a warm layer to a Chocolate Strawberry Sundae, complete with a little crispness, and the soft goodness you’d expect.

Rock Father Style Toasted Pound Cake Chocolate Strawberry Sundae

In just five minutes prep-time, you can rock this quick and easy classic dessert that kids love.

Ingredients
  • 1 Package Sara Lee® Frozen Pound Cake
  • Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
  • 1/2 cup Sliced Strawberries
  • Chocolate Syrup or Sauce (Hot Fudge optional)
  • Whipped Topping (Regular, Lite or Fat Free)
Directions
  1. Toast slices of thawed pound cake in your toaster on the lightest setting until lightly browned.
  2. Place toasted pound cake on top of a generous scoop of whipped topping.
  3. Add a scoop of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
  4. Top with Sliced Strawberries
  5. Drizzle with Chocolate
