What do you get for the “Rock Father” who has everything this #RockFathersDay? Specifically… a “Southern Rock” Father that digs bands like ZZ TOP, THE BLACK CROWES, BLACK STONE CHERRY, or THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND? And what, if by some chance, said “Southern Rock” Father is an axe-slinger himself? Well, the new Gibson Southern Rock Tribute 1959 Les Paul is an idea… if you have some bucks to splurge with…
The Gibson Southern Rock Tribute 1959 Les Paul
Gibson Custom’s Tribute to Southern Rock 1959 Les Paul is a special guitar that pays homage to a genre of Rock Music that originated in the Southern United States during the late 1960s and early 1970s. With a goal of preserving the Les Paul’s place as a significant part of Southern Rock’s lineage, as well as to reflect the spirit of positive revolution that fueled it, the guitar’s finish was enhanced to create something new, yet familiar. The result is a “Reverseburst” sunburst that is slightly reminiscent of a heart centered on the guitar’s top, a nod to the tremendous spirit that pushed Southern Rock from fringe to mainstream consciousness. Guitar aficionados can purchase one of the fifty exclusive signed guitars by rock legends Gary Rossington, Jimmy Hall and Charlie Daniels for $18,824(!).
