Aquatic ExperienceYou might recall that this past November, I took the family to a new adventure here in the Chicago area, when the World Pet Association launched their first-ever AQUATIC EXPERIENCE: CHICAGO. I posted a full entry about the experience here on THE ROCK FATHER, and evidently it was a success, as it’s back for it’s second annual run, November 7-9, 2014 in Schaumburg. Also returning is the LIVE SHARK ENCOUNTER, which my kids loved. And the Betta we brought home from last year’s show – the one that Addie named “Lula” after a character on DOC McSTUFFINS? She (technically a “he”) is doing great and has a new tank!

Official Announcement:

The only travelling shark show in the country, Haai Inc’s Live Shark Encounter, will return to the Chicago area for the World Pet Association’s (WPA) second annual Aquatic Experience – Chicago, Nov. 7-9, 2014, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center.

Live Shark Encounter

In addition to seeing sharks up close as a diver swims and interacts with these awe-inspiring animals, attendees will experience “everything aquatic under one roof” including displays of fish from around the world, educational seminars with industry experts, a free Kids Aquarium Contest and thriving show floor of exhibitors showcasing the latest in aquatic trends and products—for advanced hobbyists and first-time aquarium keepers alike. More information is available at www.aquaticexperience.org.

Aquatic Experience – Chicago is the first show in industry history to combine everything aquatic under one roof—from saltwater and freshwater fish to pond and aquatic animals. More than 3,700 guests attended last year’s inaugural show, which featured high-profile presentations including keynote speaker and aquatic ecologist Zeb Hogan, host of National Geographic’s Monster Fish. A thriving show floor of more than 85 exhibitors showcased products from the most sophisticated aquarium keepers, local and national hobbyist groups, livestock and equipment experts, and the industry’s best and trend-setting manufacturers.
