Now this is a tough one. I have these four friends from New York City – Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael and Donatello – that I met for the first time back in the late 80s. We’ve had some good times, some great adventures, and yes, we shared more pizza than we probably should have. Problem is, they sorta went away for a little bit, making a retreat back into the shadows only to emerge every few years for another big adventure, often facing off against the same metal-faced samurai over-and-over-again. You see, they’re ninjas… and they’re turtles. Now they’ve got another adventure, and they need our help. They’re trying to get into the NATIONAL TOY HALL OF FAME.

Having burst back onto the scene with a Nickelodeon series and new line of Action Figures from Playmates Toys in 2012, the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES have reclaimed their spot as the top action figure line in the country… but getting into that Toy Hall of Fame? Well, that’s the challenge. The competition is steep… and I’ve got some other friends (some very good friends) up for the coveted induction as well. The difference is, my green friends actually reached out to THE ROCK FATHER for an assist. The others did not.

The biggest problem that I have is that ALL OF THESE TOYS deserve a spot in the National Toy Hall of Fame, and I think that most of you will agree. But if you’re a friend of the TMNT gang, you’ll want to get those votes in ASAP, as the winner will be announced on November 7.
