Ahead of the release of J.J. Abrams’ STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS this December, the crew at PPW Toys has announced a trio of classic STAR WARS characters to join their growing line-up of Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head PopTaters that they produce under license from Hasbro. The next figures to come from a galaxy far, far away include C-3PO, Bounty Hunter Boba Fett, and Princess Leia in her famous gold bikini from RETURN OF THE JEDI.  Here’s what PPW says about their new PopTaters…

pop3po

popfettMr. Potato Head has transformed into the gold-plated, protocol droid, C-3PO.  This 6″ tall figure is incredibly detailed and includes a variety of components to mix and match.  With a shiny metallic-gold finish, this C-3PO PopTater is perfect for play or display. Order now from PPW Toys or Pre-order from Entertainment Earth.

Mr. Potato Head is ready for action as the notorious bounty hunter, Boba Fett.  This detailed collectible stands over 6″ tall and includes a variety of components such as Boba Fett’s iconic armor, jet pack and even his EE-3 carbine rifle!  Available in August, 2015. Pre-order from Entertainment Earth.

Captive Leia MPHnobix

Mrs. Potato Head may be Jabba’s captive, but she’s never looked better!  This Princess Leia PopTater is straight out of cinematic history, paying homage to one of the most popular Star Wars scenes of all time!  This must-have collectible stands 6″ tall and includes the iconic “gold bikini” from RETURN OF THE JEDI.  Designed with collectors in mind, the Princess Leia PopTater is perfect for fans of all ages – whether for play or display. Captive Leia will join the spectacular Star Wars PopTater line-up in October 2015 and will be available at select specialty retailers and websites. Pre-order from Entertainment Earth.

Now, while PPW Toys calls her “Captive Leia,” we all know it’s “Slave Leia,” even though calling her that is frowned-upon by some these days… 32 years after the film was first released. Can I just say that she’s one “hot potato?”

Stay tuned…
