If you wanted some good news to kick-off the week, I’m here to give you some. After months of speculation (Forces of Destiny was kicked around the rumor mill quite a bit), Rian Johnson’s forthcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII has its official title — STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI. Along with the announcement comes the teaser poster and title treatment, and it’s interesting to note the red-and-black color scheme that recalls 1983’s Return of the Jedi. Take a look…
THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski.
While the film won’t hit theaters in the U.S. until December 15, 2017, the forthcoming Star Wars Celebration in Orlando should lend some more details, though it would not be unexpected to see a “Big Game” spot show up during the upcoming Super Bowl. I know I only tune in for the commercials.
Stay tuned!
